"More gear than Marmalade!"

BrassMonkyes have ''More gear than Marmalade"

The phrase gets used at nearly every gig by the band as we unload the van. But where has this sticky saying come from? 
It refers back to a comment made by the then manager of the Hamworthy Social Club in Poole, where BrassMonkeys (aka Beyond Belief) regularly hosted 'big gig' events. As we packed down one night he was heard to remark  "You've got more gear than Marmalade" ... and it stuck, quite literally. 
A reference to the Scottish group Marmalade who had previously played at the venue. Now preserved in BrassMonkeys legend as an apt description of our humongous kit!
Since then, the observation is made at least once, at every gig, that we do indeed have 'more gear than Marmalade' !
